OUR PROCESS

OUR PROCESS

At Meshca, we believe in effortless fashion. Each Meshca original is handmade with ethically sourced gems. Our philosophy is simple - we work to create one-of-a-kind pieces that speak to you. Those stunning pair of statement earrings that always make an impression or those versatile studs you reach out to when you are in doubt. Whatever your choice maybe, we hope to sprinkle a little bit of Meshca magic in it.

Our process

All our products are designed in Sydney, Australia, and sustainably manufactured in our factory in India. From the Mughals to the Rajputs, Indian artisans have a 5000-year-old tradition in handcrafting jewellery and creating magic with gemstones.

Our materials

Gold-plated brass

Brass is a versatile metal that offers great artistic liberty. Our eco-brass is gold-plated in 18k for that beautiful yellow gold sheen.
Take care of your brass jewellery by keeping it away from moisture and chemicals.

Gemstones

Gemstones are the soul of our brand. All our gemstones are sourced from India and Srilanka. Both of these countries offer the most beautiful collection of gemstones. All of our stones are hand-picked and sourced ethically. We respect the land that the gems originate from and we have a zero-tolerance policy towards exploitative practices and only work with suppliers who comply with environmental and labour laws.

Silver

All our silver jewellery is 100% sterling silver. It is 92.5% of silver and 7.5% of other metals, usually copper, hence the name 925 silver. Fine silver or pure silver (99.9%) is too soft to produce functional objects and is therefore alloyed with copper to give strength while still preserving the beauty of the precious metal.

Silver is a beautiful metal that offers grace and beauty even as it ages. As the metal naturally oxidizes, it provides a beautiful patina. If you choose to keep your silver gleaming, wipe it down after use with a soft cloth.

Gold Vermeil

Pronounced Ver-may, Gold vermeil is a much thicker layer of gold that gives the pieces their long-lasting color. We use 18k gold that is a minimum of 2.5 microns thick layered over sterling silver.

Gold-Filled Jewellery

Gold-filled jewellery has a thick layer of gold fused with a base metal. The higher deposit of gold offers an anti-tarnish, long-wear finish. This is the closest you can get to solid gold without the price tag. High-quality gold-filled jewellery that is cared for can last for years.
